A unique mentorship program designed specifically for people living with hemophilia B, the Generation IX Project supports the hemophilia B community to make positive changes in their lives and in their communities. Six sessions for Young adult Mentors and three sessions for Teen Participants over three weeks this Fall.
Adult volunteers from across the country will gather online for an experiential mentorship training from the GutMonkey Team. Don't expect a webinar. Do expect to form a team with and genuine connection with your peers and personal growth through individual and team challenges. You will learn and practice skills with countless applications.
Teens will join the gathering virtually on Thursdays. Expect to learn about yourself and your community, while making connections with folks affected by hemophilia b. The relationships made at the Generation IX Project last well beyond the events.
GutMonkey has translated our unique approach to experiential education to programming for summer camps, teen retreats, and adult gatherings all summer long. We're excited to help keep this community connected and engaged in 2020 and beyond. This is a great opportunity for the Generation IX Project to grow! If you've ever wondered if Gen IX was for you, but haven't taken the plunge, this is a great way to try it out!
We're looking for returners and new applicants! If you're a Gen IX alumni, bring an eligible friend. Please feel free to reach out to GutMonkey or the Coalition for Hemophilia B with any questions.
